14 November 2024
Area di attività

Contro il cyberbullismo insieme (Together Against Cyberbullying) is the slogan of the new campaign of institutional communication launched by the Department for Family Policies with the technical and scientific support of the Istituto degli Innocent to prevent and combat cyberbullying among young people. The new initiative aims to raise awareness among parents, educators and young people about the risks of cyberbullying, providing practical tools to recognise and deal with it effectively.
Campaign Objectives
The campaign aims to:
- Informing families on the possible consequences of cyberbullying and, at the same time, on the tools available to adults to safeguard and protect the minors involved.
- Increasing the awareness of supporting adults in order to address a rampant but often still underestimated phenomenon.
- Communicating the institutions’ commitment in combating cyberbullying and fostering a healthy relationship between children and adolescents and the digital and social media world.
Campaign elements
The communication campaign aims to convey a positive message to raise awareness and inform adults on the issue of youth cyberbullying by promoting the main useful tools to recognise and deal with it. Actor and TV personality Giorgio Pasotti was also involved as testimonial. His participation aims to create an emotional bond with the audience, making the message more effective and credible.
A key component of the campaign is the information guide entitled Luci e ombre di una generazione interconnessa. Cyberbullismo: impara a conoscerlo (Lights and Shadows of an Interconnected Generation. Cyberbullying: Learn About It). Available online, this guide offers an in-depth analysis of cyberbullying, with practical advice for parents and educators on how to prevent and deal with online bullying situations. The guide also includes resources to support young people who have been victims of cyberbullying, promoting an empathetic and proactive approach.
The campaign is primarily aimed at families, teachers and adults, but also at pre-teens, adolescents and the general public. A combination of tools and media is used for its dissemination: radio and TV spots on RAI channels and promotion on social media until the end of 2024.
